Kuskovo Estate

When I studied at the 6th grade, we had an excursion there. But it was late automn and I wasn't much interested in history or architecture. But now it's spring, and I'm a 22 year old girl who is interested in everything beautiful. So on Friday I decided to refresh my memory and visit Kuskovo once again. The history of that manor you can read here. And I took some pictures of (and in) the Palace, Dutch and Italian Houses, Grotto and the French Park. 

I can say that it was really awesome experience. The manor is in Moscow, so we hadn't go somewhere far away, it is free for students (otherwise you have to pay 550 rub = 15,5 $ to visit every exhibition) and it is so incredibly beautiful. Walking the park or visiting the palace I couldn't believe I was in Moscow but not somewhere in St Petersburg og France. And I like the feeling that I'm a tourist in my own city.

Когда я училась в 6 класса, мы со школоей ездили сюда на экскурсию. Но тогда был ноябрь, да и я не особо интересовалась историей или архитектурой. Сейчас весна, мне 22, и меня привлекает все красивое. Так что в пятницу я подхватила подругу, и мы поехали освежать наши воспоминания. Историю усадьбы можно прочесть на их сайте, а я немного пофотографировала дворец, голландский и итальянский домики, грот и французский парк. 

Вообще, наша экскурсия удалась. Далеко ехать не пришлось (всего лишь до Рязанского простпекта:)), вход для студентов свободный (ну или 550р за посещение всех зданий и экспозиций), и сама усадьба просто необыкновенна красива. Гуляя по парку или осматривая дворец, так и не скажешь, что ты в Москве, скорее где-нибудь в Питере или вообще Франции. И очень здорово было чувствовать себя туристом в собственном городе. 

Sokolniki Park

Sokolniki is perhaps the second popular park in Moscow (the first one is Gorky Park, but no posts yet) though there is not so much to do there, imho. I mean it is really cool to live nearby, as you can go for a walk, skiing og running any time. But if you live far away, like I do, there is no particular purpose to go there as you can do all mentioned activities in any other park.

So how did I find myself there? Well, one of the department of my university is not far away, so on Saturday after classes I decided not have a little walk there. I took pictures with my cell-phone so the quality is not the best one. But I also added some summer pictures from this park if you are already bored with grey snowy Moscow. Take a look:)

Второй по популярности парк в Москве - это, пожалуй, Сокольники (на первом месте Парк Горького, но постов про него пока нет), хотя там не так уж и много чего можно поделать, имхо. Я имею ввиду, что очень здорово жить рядом, так как можно в любое время сходить туда погулять, покататься на коньках, побегать. Но, если вы живете далеко, то все это можно делать и в любом другом парке.

Так как я там оказалась?  Один из филиалов моего университета находится неподалеку, так что в субботу после пар я решила немного прогуляться. Фотографии сделаны на телефон, так что качество не очень. Но на случай если вам уже надоела серая снежная Москва, я добавила фотографии, сделанные летом в этом же парке. Приятного просмотра:)

Winter

I'm in love with winter, though it can be cold sometimes:) Everything is white, water turned into ice and there is Christmas celebration, St Valentine's day and my birthday then. And when I was a kid I used to play snowballs with friends, we made snowmen and rode our sledges. Now we ice skate and I'm still dreaming of snowboarding. This December was really "European" with rain and +5C. But now it's almost -20C and snow is everywhere.

Oslo (part 2)

Norway is famous for its nature and believe me - it is really breathtaking! West Norway is the most beautiful part of the country due to the fjords, but unfortunately I had no opportunity to visit it this summer. Still I've been to the central part and there are also some picturesque sceneries. And even some it is easy to find in Oslo.

The final part :)
Two random facts about me: I'm in love with the North and I'm in love with the sea. I managed to combine all these preferences and visited the Gulf of Finland. It was cloudy the whole day, but when we arrived the sun appeared for a couple of minutes. And I was really fascinated by the view: snowy land with clear icy water, the sea and sky merged at the horizon and it seemed that we live inside of a huge glass ball wich is possible to touch. So people, if you live by the sea, you are really lucky, appreciate it! Because I, for instance, won't be able to visit the sea at least for half a year and the only thing I can now is to look at these pictures.
